co-op haul

I've decided to start something new on this blog.  As you know, I am so very happy with the whole co-op situation.  So, I've decided to start posting what I get each time (roughly every two weeks), and then throughout the week showing you how I use what I get.  So here we go!

This is what I got!  So on the site I ordered 1 Produce Share, 1 Stone Ground Bakery Sampler, and 1 Half Gallon of Apple Cider.

This week the Produce Share included:
  • bananas
  • 4 pears
  • 4 gala apples
  • 2 grapefruits
  • 2 pomegranates
  • romaine lettuce
  • cauliflower
  • grape tomatoes
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 3 lbs onion
The Stone Ground Bakery Sampler included:
  • German Rye Hearth Loaf
  • Squaw Cranberry Loaf
  • Cinnamon Raisin Loaf
I got everything in the picture for 29.87 (including tax)!  I'm always just so thrilled by how inexpensive this whole co-op thing is.

Based on the food I received you can expect to see the following posts coming up:
  • Super Fast Caesar Salad w/ Homemade Croutons
  • The BEST Way to Eat a Grapefruit
  • Bruschetta All Day Every Day
Also, I will try to find a recipe for cauliflower to post as well as some interesting way to use pomegranate that isn't me just devouring it with my hands.  Don't forget to check out the co-op here.
