the BEST way to eat // breakfast

  We've heard ever since we were little that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  Guess what, it's true.  If you're trying to maintain a healthy weight a good breakfast is absolutely vital!  

  This is the best breakfast ever!  Consisting of store brand Bran Flakes, Homemade Granola, and fresh fruit; this breakfast makes me feel great every morning!  If you want to feel great too, follow the breakfast rules below.




  1. NEVER skip breakfast!  If you're trying to lose weight this is especially important.  Have you ever noticed that on days that you skip breakfast you can go pretty far into your day without feeling hungry at all, but if you eat breakfast you feel hungry again at midday?  This is because breakfast really does kick start your metabolism.  Feeling hungry is a good thing, it means your body used the food you gave it (it's not storing it as fat) and you need more food to keep going.
  2. Have a breakfast routine.  This means eating the same thing for breakfast (at least on weekdays) at generally the same time.  This should be within an hour after waking up.  I say eat the same thing because the morning is generally when we have very little time and trying to be creative every morning for breakfast just won't work.  Eat at the same time because it will help regulate your digestion.
  3. Include fiber in your breakfast.  I eat bran flakes with my granola because it has 20% of my daily dose of fiber, and because it's delicious.  The fiber helps get my digestion on the right track every morning.
  4. Don't eat too little.  I'm not saying that you should be eating  a lumberjack breakfast every morning, but if you don't eat enough at breakfast you'll end up overeating for the rest of the day.
